Carnaval
de Santa Cruz
fév/mars
Ce carnaval est un des plus importants d'Europe. Les
chants et danses folkloriques, les parades costumées
multicolores, la musique des orchestres rythment son
déroulement. Il donne lieu à l'élection
d'une reine qui sera durant le temps du carnaval le
symbole de charme de cette manifestation. Le mercredi
des Cendres à lieu l'enterrement du carnaval
sous la forme d'une gigantesque sardine.
Fête Dieu La Orotava

Les rues de la ville se transforment en éphémère
œuvre d'art. La chaussée est couverte de
tapis de fleurs et à l'aide de sable coloré
les participants reproduissent avec une parfaite maîtrise
les thèmes religieux des maîtres de la
peinture espagnole.
Romeria de la Virgen de la Candeleria

En hommage à la Sainte Patronne des Canaries,
des milliers de pèlerins affluent dans la ville.
